List of Feature Image Sizes by Platform

Feature image is a large promotional image that accompanies a page. They are used for sharing and for other promotional purposes. Another fun feature is that they are different sizes between almost every platform! Yay!

For this reason we are making a list of all the different image sizes for various platforms. We will update this list periodically and add entries. Stay tuned.

When the image ratio is the same, you can use the same image across platforms by scaling down to a smaller image. Here are a couple of suggestions of what software to use to accomplish this task:

  • ImageMagick - image editing from command line
  • Pixlr - cross platform web app for image editing
